Rehabilitation Assistance for Midtown Properties (RAMP)
This program is funded through Tax Increment Financing (TIF) which includes housing rehabilitation services designed to sustain home ownership, which is instrumental in stabilizing individual neighborhoods. TIF housing programs provide financial assistance through self-amortizing loan/grants to qualified single-family homeowners for primarily exterior improvements to residential properties. Maintaining residency after the grant for five (5) years is required, and the loan/grant funds are written off 20% per year for five years. Repayment is required for the prorated period if the residency period is not achieved. Loan/grants may require matching funds, dependent upon applicant’s income.
The RAMP program;
- makes mainly exterior repairs
- is available to homeowners and multi-family property owners
- may require matching funds depending on the homeowner’s income: details
- is available in Beacon Hill, Longfellow, Squire Park, Manheim Park and the Midtown service area: map
