Our Collaborative Partners:

  • BNIM: Working together to develop the 31st and Jarboe property
  • Brown/Black coalition: Congressman Emanuel Cleaver initiative to facilitate conversations with the Latino and African-American communities
  • Children’s Mercy Hospital Collaborative: partner with other Kansas City CDCs to provide healthy-home counseling and home repair assistance for families of asthma-sufferers
  • Digital Inclusion Collaboration: works with Connecting for Good and the Hispanic Economic Development Corporation to teach digital literary and translate the training into Spanish
  • KCMO Health Department and KC Gardens: promote healthy eating and garden-growing at two properties
  • Latino Civic Engagement Collaborative: 7 not-for-profits who serve the community and advocate for Latinos
  • Manheim Neighborhoodpartnership with Make It Right, Dalmark, and Manheim Neighborhood Association to complete infill housing and rehab on properties in Manheim Park
  • Mayor’s Latino Advisory Team: pact with City of Kansas City, Missouri to place Latinos on boards, commissions, and open government positions
  • North East Alliance Together (NEAT): ‘Invest Northeast’ initiative
  • Regional Equity Network: advocating “Equity as a Superior Growth Model”
  • Spaces of Hope: Work with KU Architectural Design to create a charette challenge around a Westside Housing property.
  • William Jewell College: allows Westside to build capacity with students as interns and volunteers
